APP – ED/Hybrid Hospitalist for a 16 bed (including swing) in Cambridge, Nebraska. Current dates for coverage needs include 10/11-10/21, 11/11-11/21, 12/11-12/21, and 12/21-1/1

Compensation: $1950.00 per 24-hr shift

This position is for an experienced APP for a 24-hour solo coverage assignment at a critical access facility in Cambridge, Nebraska. This hybrid ED/Hospitalist position offers the opportunity to provide essential care in a rural setting while enjoying a predictable short-term contract.

Key Details:

• Facility: 16-bed critical access hospital that includes inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and swing-bed services. The facility is known for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong focus on rural health needs. It features modern medical technology, close-knit staff collaboration, and the ability to provide essential emergency services. Specialty support includes anesthesia, and the hospital uses Meditech EMR.
• Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts (typically 12–15 hours of active work + overnight call)
• Coverage Dates: 10/11-10/21, 11/11-11/21, 12/11-12/21, and 12/21-1/1 (orientation required prior to first shift)
• Clinical Scope: ED and inpatient admissions, rounding, and discharges
• Support: On-site anesthesia available
• EMR: Meditech

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Family or Acute Care NP certification
• Minimum 2 year of hospitalist or ED experience
• Current ACLS and BLS
• Emergency Medicine Procedures: central lines, intubations, chest tubes, ventilator management
• Clean malpractice history

• Lodging: Call room/hotel provided
• Travel: Mileage or rental car covered
• Orientation: 4 hours on a weekday prior paid
• Schedule: 12pm–12pm shifts, with handoff flexibility on final day
